If you're starting from downtown Petoskey, head east on E Lake St toward Howard St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Mitchell St. Turn left onto Mitchell St and walk north until you reach the intersection with E Main St. Turn right onto E Main St and continue walking east. You will eventually reach the end of E Main St where it meets the waterfront. Follow the waterfront path south, and you will see the Little Traverse History Museum ahead at 100 Depot Ct. The museum is located right by the harbor, offering beautiful views as you approach.

If you're near the Petoskey Transit Center, catch the bus that runs on the local route towards the waterfront area. Confirm with the bus schedule for the latest routes and times. Get off at the stop closest to the waterfront park. From there, walk toward the harbor and follow the waterfront path south until you reach the Little Traverse History Museum at 100 Depot Ct. This route offers a scenic view of the lake and is a pleasant stroll.

Head east on E Lake St until you reach Mitchell St, then turn left onto Mitchell St. After a short ride, turn right onto E Main St and continue until you reach the waterfront.
