If you are traveling by car within Tahquamenon Falls State Park, look for signs directing you to Tahquamenon Falls. From the main entrance of the park, follow the park road for about 8 miles (approximately 15 minutes). You will pass through scenic wooded areas, and the road is well-marked. Once you reach the parking area for the Upper Falls, park your vehicle. Note that there is a parking fee of $9 for Michigan residents and $17 for non-residents, valid for the day.

Public Transportation
While direct public transportation to Tahquamenon Falls State Park is limited, you may take a bus to nearby towns, such as Newberry or Paradise. From there, you can arrange for a local taxi or rideshare service to take you to the park. Make sure to check local schedules as service may not be frequent. Once you arrive at the park's entrance, you will need to follow the same road as described above (about 8 miles to the Upper Falls area).

If you are already in the park and wish to reach the Upper Falls via walking, you can do so by following the well-marked trails from the visitor center. The walk from the visitor center to the Upper Falls is about 1 mile and takes approximately 30 minutes. The trail is mostly flat and accessible, providing beautiful views of the surrounding forest and river.

For those who prefer cycling, there are bike paths available in the park. You can rent a bike at the visitor center if needed. The ride to the Upper Falls is approximately 1 mile on a paved path, which is suitable for all levels of cyclists. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow park rules while biking.
