If you are traveling by car, start from the Tahquamenon Falls State Park Visitor Center, located at 41382 State Hwy M-123, Paradise, MI 49768. Head north on M-123 for approximately 7 miles. Watch for signs directing you towards the Lower Falls. Turn left onto the Unnamed Road (also referred to as the Lower Falls Road) where you will see a sign for the Lower Falls. Continue down this road for about 1 mile until you reach the parking area for the Lower Falls. Parking is free, but be aware that the area can fill up quickly during peak seasons.

Currently, there are limited public transportation options directly reaching the Lower Falls area. If you are relying on public transport, the closest option is to take a taxi or rideshare service from the Tahquamenon Falls State Park Visitor Center. For those who are near the Lower Falls area or have parked at the designated parking lot, the Lower Falls Hemlock trail is easily accessible. The trailhead is located right by the parking area. Follow the marked trail down towards the falls which is about a 0.5-mile hike. The path is well maintained but can be uneven in some areas, so wear appropriate footwear. This scenic walk will lead you directly to the picturesque Lower Falls.
