If you are already in Tahquamenon Falls State Park, you will want to navigate to the Lower Falls area. Start by heading south on the park road, following the signs for the Lower Falls. Keep an eye out for the signage as you approach the junction. You will need to take a left turn onto M-123 from the park road. Continue on M-123 for approximately 1.5 miles. Look for the designated parking area for the Lower Falls on the right side of the road. Parking is free, but the park may charge an entrance fee, so be prepared for that.

Once you have parked at the Lower Falls parking area, you will need to walk about 0.5 miles to reach the falls. Follow the well-marked hiking trail that leads from the parking lot to the viewing area. The trail is mostly flat and suitable for families and individuals of all ages. Along the way, you will see beautiful forested areas and may encounter some wildlife. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water with you for the hike.
