Getting There

Walking
Start your journey at the Grand Marais Visitor Center located at 15 W Wisconsin St. From there, head south on W Wisconsin St towards N Broadway Ave. Continue straight onto MN-61 S, following the waterfront and enjoying the scenic view. After approximately 0.5 miles, turn left onto County Rd 7 (also known as Gunflint Trail). Follow this road for about 5 miles until you reach the turnoff for Moose Pond Dr. Turn right onto Moose Pond Dr, and the Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center will be on your left at 28 Moose Pond Dr.

Biking
If you're biking, begin at the Grand Marais Harbor. Follow the bike path along the shoreline heading south. This path will connect you to MN-61 S. Proceed south on MN-61 until you reach County Rd 7 (Gunflint Trail). Turn left onto County Rd 7 and bike for about 5 miles. After that, turn right onto Moose Pond Dr, and you will find Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center on your left at 28 Moose Pond Dr.

Check with local transit services for any available shuttle or bus routes that may operate from Grand Marais to the surrounding areas, including the Gunflint Trail.
