Experience Gateway Arch National Park

Getting There

  • Walking

    From Grand Center, start at the intersection of Washington Ave and Grand Blvd. Head south on Grand Blvd towards the intersection with Olive St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with N 14th St. Turn right on N 14th St and walk until you reach Convention Plaza. Continue walking straight onto the sidewalk that leads to the Gateway Arch National Park. The park entrance should be visible ahead, and the total walking distance is approximately 1.5 miles, which should take around 30-40 minutes.

  • Public Transit (MetroLink)

    To reach Gateway Arch National Park from Grand Center using public transit, walk to the Grand MetroLink station, which is about a 10-minute walk from Grand Center. Head south on Grand Blvd, turn right onto Olive St, and walk until you see the MetroLink station. Purchase a ticket for the MetroLink at the station (approximately $2.50 one way). Board the Red Line train towards the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 station. Ride for 4 stops and get off at the Arch-Laclede's Landing station. From there, it's a short walk (about 5-10 minutes) to the Gateway Arch National Park.

  • Bus

    You can also take a bus from Grand Center to Gateway Arch National Park. Walk to the nearest bus stop at Grand Blvd and Washington Ave. Board the MetroBus #40 (North Broadway) heading towards the Central West End. Ride for 5 stops and get off at the 4th & Convention Plaza stop. From there, walk towards the Gateway Arch National Park, which is approximately a 10-minute walk, following the signs leading you directly to the park.
