Zaisan Monument: A Tribute to Mongolia's Heritage

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Zaisan Monument from the center of Ulaanbaatar, head south on Peace Avenue (Чингисийн Прот) towards the Zaisan area. Follow the signs to the Zaisan Monument, which is located at VWM8+J5C, HUD - 11 khoroo. The drive should take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. There is a parking area near the monument, where you can leave your car.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Zaisan Monument using public transportation, take bus number 11 from the central bus station in Ulaanbaatar. The bus will take you directly to the Zaisan area. Once you get off, walk towards the direction of the Zaisan Monument, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill. Make sure to have some change for the bus fare, which is typically around 500 MNT.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi to Zaisan Monument. Taxis are readily available in Ulaanbaatar. Simply provide the driver with the address 'VWM8+J5C, HUD - 11 khoroo'. The cost of a taxi ride should be around 5,000 to 10,000 MNT depending on your starting point and traffic conditions.

• Walking

  If you are already within the Bogd Khan Mountain area and prefer to walk, you can follow the trail signs leading to Zaisan Monument. The hike will take approximately 30-40 minutes uphill, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially during warm weather.
