Car

From Buir Lake, head southwest on the main road towards the town of Tsetserleg. This drive will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours (about 90 km) depending on road conditions. Once you reach Tsetserleg, continue on the main road heading west until you see signs for Ögii Lake. Follow the signs for about 30 km until you arrive at Ögii Lake. Be sure to check your fuel levels as there may be limited fuel stations along the route.

Public Transportation

To reach Ögii Lake from Buir Lake via public transportation, first take a shared taxi or minibus from Buir Lake to Tsetserleg. This ride typically costs around 10,000 MNT and takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arriving in Tsetserleg, you will need to find another shared taxi or minibus heading towards Ögii Lake. This second leg of the journey will cost approximately 5,000 MNT and take about 30 minutes to reach the lake.

Walking

If you are adventurous and find yourself close to the lake after reaching Tsetserleg, you can walk the final stretch to Ögii Lake. From the center of Tsetserleg, head west on the main road for about 30 km. This would take several hours on foot, so it is recommended only for experienced hikers or those looking for a challenge.
