Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Ulaanbaatar city center, head to the bus station located near the State Department Store. Look for bus number 11 or 12, which goes to Terelj National Park. The fare is very affordable, typically around 1,000 MNT. Ensure to inform the driver or conductor that you are heading to Terelj Lodge Ger Camp, and they can help you know when to get off. The journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.

• Shared Minivan (Marshrutka)

  You can also take a shared minivan (marshrutka) from the bus station near the State Department Store. Look for marshrutka number 11 or 12 heading towards Terelj. The fare is similar to the public bus, around 1,000 MNT. The minivan will drop you off at the main entrance to Terelj National Park. From there, you may need to hike or arrange for a short taxi ride to reach Terelj Lodge Ger Camp.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider hailing a taxi from anywhere in Ulaanbaatar. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand or ask the driver to use the meter. The drive to Terelj Lodge Ger Camp takes approximately 1 hour and will cost around 20,000 to 30,000 MNT. You can simply give the driver the address: 'Lodge Resort, Terelj' and they will take you directly there.

• Tour Group Transport

  Many tour companies in Ulaanbaatar offer transport to Terelj Lodge as part of their packages. Check with your hotel or a local travel agency for options. This can be a convenient way to ensure you have a guide and transportation included, often with lunch or activities.
