Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Ulaanbaatar. Head southwest on Sukhbaatar Square towards the Chinggis Khaan Square. Continue onto the Ulaanbaatar - Zuunmod Road (A-4). Follow this road for approximately 20 km until you reach the Bogd Khan Mountain area. Once you enter the national park, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Turtle Rock. Park your vehicle in the designated parking area nearby, as the last part of the journey will be on foot.

Public Transportation
To reach Turtle Rock using public transportation, take a bus or a minibus from the Ulaanbaatar bus station to Zuunmod. Buses to Zuunmod leave frequently and the fare is around 1,500 MNT. Once you arrive in Zuunmod, you can either take a taxi (approximately 5,000-10,000 MNT) directly to the Bogd Khan Mountain entrance or you can catch a local minibus that heads towards the Bogd Khan Mountain area. From the park entrance, follow the marked trails towards Turtle Rock, which is about a 30-minute hike uphill.

For those already in Bogd Khan Mountain, locate the nearest hiking trail that leads to Turtle Rock. Most trails are well marked, but if you are unsure, ask local park rangers for directions. The hike to Turtle Rock typically takes about 30 minutes to an hour depending on your pace. Ensure you wear sturdy hiking boots and bring water, as some sections can be steep and rocky.
