Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Terelj National Park. Follow the main road (T1) heading east for about 4 kilometers until you reach a fork. Take the left road, which leads you towards Uwur. Continue on this road for approximately 3 kilometers until you see a sign for Green Terelj. Turn right and follow the signs for about 1 kilometer until you arrive at the campground, located at Uwur, ND - 6 khoroo, Terelj.

• Public Transport

  For public transportation, take a bus or minivan from Ulaanbaatar to Terelj National Park. The buses leave from the East Bus Station in Ulaanbaatar. The fare is approximately 5,000 MNT (Mongolian Tugrik). Once in Terelj National Park, you can hire a local taxi or find a shared vehicle that heads towards Uwur. The taxi fare should be negotiated beforehand, but expect to pay around 10,000 to 15,000 MNT for the trip to Green Terelj, which is about 7 kilometers from the main park area.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of Terelj National Park and prefer to walk, you can hike to Green Terelj. Start from the main park area and head towards the scenic river trail that leads northeast. Follow the trail for about 5 kilometers, which will take you directly to Green Terelj. Ensure you have adequate supplies, as walking may take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
