If you're traveling by car, start from the main road (E65) in the Bay of Kotor area and follow signs to Kotor. Once in Kotor, look for the signs indicating the Old Town (Stari Grad). Park at one of the designated parking areas near the Old Town, such as the parking lot at the entrance of the Old Town. After parking, walk towards the Old Town's main gate, 'North Gate'. From the North Gate, head towards the steps that lead up to Kotor Fortress. The walk from the Old Town to the fortress entrance takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

To reach Kotor Fortress using public transportation, take a bus that goes to Kotor from nearby towns such as Tivat or Herceg Novi. The bus station in Kotor is located near the waterfront.
