Once parked, follow the marked trail leading up to the fortress. The walk is steep but offers stunning views along the way.

To reach St John Fortress using public transport, take a local bus from Kotor to the village of Špiljari. Buses operate frequently, and the journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Špiljari, you will need to walk the remaining distance to the fortress. Follow the signs directing you toward 'St John Fortress.' The trail is steep, so wear comfortable shoes and take your time enjoying the scenic views.

If you prefer to walk from Kotor, it will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Start from Kotor's Old Town and head toward the waterfront.
