If you're driving from Kotor, take the Risan road (E80) towards Perast. After about 3 km, you'll reach the junction for Špiljari. Turn left and follow the signs for St John Fortress (San Giovanni). The road will lead you up the hill. There is limited parking near the entrance. Be prepared to walk uphill as you approach the fortress.
