After approximately 2 hours of driving, you will arrive at the town of Kotor. Once in Kotor, follow the signs to 'St John Fortress' or 'Fortress of San Giovanni'. You can park your car at the designated parking area near the Old Town. The fortress is a short walk from the parking area, and the trail leading up to the fortress is well-marked.

    To reach Kotor Fortress from Durmitor National Park using public transportation, first, take a bus from Žabljak to Kotor.
