Getting There

    From the center of Lakes of Plav, head southwest on the main road towards the town of Gusinje. Continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading towards the Albanian border. Follow signs for 'Maja Jezercë' and take the road into Albania. After crossing the border, follow the signs for Theth National Park. The road will become narrower and more winding as you get closer. Continue to follow the signs and GPS directions to reach the base of Maja Jezercë. Be aware that a border crossing fee may apply.

    From Lakes of Plav, take a local bus to Gusinje, which operates several times a day. Once in Gusinje, you can take another bus towards the Albanian border. Upon crossing into Albania, look for a local bus or shared taxi that heads towards Theth National Park. Inform the driver of your destination, Maja Jezercë, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. Expect to pay a small fee for each bus or taxi ride, typically around 1 to 5 Euros depending on the distance.
