Car
From Nikšić Field, head south on the M6 highway towards Kotor. After approximately 45 kilometers, you will reach the town of Kotor. Once in Kotor, follow signs for 'St John Fortress' which will direct you towards the Old Town. Drive through the Old Town area until you see signs for the fortress. There is limited parking available near the fortress, so it is advisable to park in one of the designated parking areas in the town and walk the remaining distance (about 15 minutes uphill).

Public Transport
Start by taking a bus from Nikšić to Kotor. Buses run regularly from Nikšić Bus Station to Kotor Bus Station. The trip takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Kotor, exit the bus station and head towards the Old Town, where you will see signs for 'St John Fortress.' The walk from the bus station to the fortress takes about 20-25 minutes uphill. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the bus station directly to the fortress for around 10-15 euros.
