Car
From the center of Ponta do Ouro, head south on the main road (EN1) towards the border with South Africa. After about 30 km, you will reach the turnoff for Machalungo Beach. Turn left onto the gravel road that leads to the beach area. Follow the signs for about 5 km until you reach the beach. Be aware that some segments of the road may be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
Public Transportation
Take a local 'chapas' (minibus taxis) from Ponta do Ouro to the nearest point to Machalungo Beach. These 'chapas' usually depart from the main taxi rank in Ponta do Ouro and cost around 20 MZN per person.
