Walking
From the center of New Bagan, head east on the main road (Nyaung U Road). After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach the intersection with the Old Bagan Road. Turn left onto Old Bagan Road and continue walking for about 500 meters. The Palace Excavation Site is located on your left side near the coordinates 5VC6+FPV, Old Bagan. You should see signs directing you to the site.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer to cycle, many guesthouses in New Bagan offer bicycle rentals. After renting a bicycle, follow the same route as walking: head east on Nyaung U Road for about 1 kilometer, then turn left onto Old Bagan Road. Continue cycling for around 500 meters until you reach the Palace Excavation Site on the left. Rental costs vary but generally range from 1,000 to 3,000 MMK per day.

Horse Cart Ride
For a more traditional experience, you can hire a horse cart (also known as a pony cart) from various points in New Bagan. Negotiate the price (usually around 5,000 to 10,000 MMK for a round trip) before starting your journey. The horse cart will take you along Nyaung U Road and onto Old Bagan Road, dropping you off at the Palace Excavation Site. Be sure to agree on a pick-up time for your return.
