Walking
If you are in the heart of Windhoek, start at the popular landmark, Independence Memorial Museum, located at 1 Robert Mugabe Ave. From there, head south on Robert Mugabe Avenue for about 500 meters. You will pass the National Museum of Namibia on your left. Continue straight, and you will see the Windhoek City Museum on your right side just after the intersection with Tal Street.

If you are near the Windhoek Central Bus Station, take any bus heading towards the city center. Get off at the 'Post Street Mall' stop. From there, walk along Post Street towards the east until you reach Robert Mugabe Avenue. Turn left and walk about 300 meters. The Windhoek City Museum will be on your right side.
