Trekking
From Gokyo Lakes, you will need to trek back to the main trail leading to Everest Base Camp. Start by heading south from Gokyo towards the Gokyo Valley. Follow the path alongside the Dudh Pokhari Lake and continue until you reach the junction at the end of the lake. Here, take the trail that leads to the Thokla Pass. The trek will take approximately 3-4 hours, covering a distance of about 8 km. Once you reach Thokla, you will see a signpost indicating the direction to Everest Base Camp.
Trekking
From Thokla, continue your trek towards Lobuche, which is about another hour away. Lobuche is the last major settlement before reaching Everest Base Camp, and you can stop here for a break. The trail is clearly marked and you will pass stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks as there are limited services along the way.
Trekking
From Lobuche, follow the signs to Everest Base Camp. The trail will take you approximately 2-3 hours, covering about 6 km. It is a gradual ascent, and as you get closer, you will start to see the iconic Khumbu Glacier. Be prepared for cold temperatures and changing weather conditions. Once you arrive at Everest Base Camp, you will be greeted by breathtaking views and the famous base camp setup. Take your time to enjoy the scenery and capture photos.
