    If you are traveling by car, start from your location in the Helambu Trek region. Head towards the town of Melamchi. From Melamchi, take the road towards the Kathmandu Valley, which will lead you to Changunarayan. Follow the signs for Changunarayan Rd. The journey should take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. There may be a toll fee for using certain roads, so keep some cash ready.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    For those using public transport, you can take a local bus from Melamchi to Kathmandu. Once in Kathmandu, transfer to a bus heading towards Bhaktapur. Inform the bus driver of your destination, Changunarayan, as some buses may not stop directly at the park. The bus ride from Melamchi to Kathmandu may take about 1.5 hours, and then from Kathmandu to Changunarayan, it could take an additional 1 hour. Expect to pay around NPR 200-300 for the bus fare. Once you arrive in Changunarayan, walk along Changunarayan Rd for about 15 minutes to reach the entrance of Changunarayan Park.
