Walking
From the center of Nagarkot, head south on the main road towards the town of Bhaktapur. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the fork in the road. Stay on the left path, which leads to Gokarneshwor. Continue walking for about 5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Gokarneshwor. From Gokarneshwor, look for signs directing you towards Sundarijal Dobato, which is approximately 1.5 kilometers from the center of Gokarneshwor. Follow the path until you reach Sundarijal Dobato, located at coordinates 27.755778, 85.418944.

Hiking
If you prefer a more scenic route, you can hike from Nagarkot to Sundarijal Dobato. Start your hike by following the trail that leads east from Nagarkot towards Changu Narayan. After about 3 kilometers, you’ll come across a sign that indicates the path to Gokarneshwor. Follow this trail for approximately 4 kilometers until you reach Gokarneshwor. From Gokarneshwor, continue to follow the signs to Sundarijal Dobato, which is about 1.5 kilometers away. This route offers beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

Public Transport (Bus)
While you may not be able to use a car, you can take a local bus from Nagarkot to Bhaktapur. From Nagarkot, walk to the main bus stop and catch a bus heading to Bhaktapur. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once in Bhaktapur, find a bus or microbus heading to Gokarneshwor. After reaching Gokarneshwor, follow the signs for Sundarijal Dobato which is about 1.5 kilometers from the bus stop.
