Walking
If you are at the bustling Thamel area, start by heading east towards the Ratna Park. From Ratna Park, follow the road towards the east until you reach the Bagmati River. Cross the river using the bridge, and continue walking along the riverside path. After a short walk, you will see the Pashupatinath Temple complex on your right. Aaryaghat is located just a short distance from the main entrance of the temple, along the path that leads you towards the cremation ghats.
Local Bus
From Thamel, you can take a local bus heading towards Pashupatinath. Look for buses with 'Pashupatinath' written on them. The bus will drop you off near the Pashupatinath Temple. From the bus stop, walk towards the temple entrance, and Aaryaghat will be a short walk from there, to the east of the temple complex.
Taxi or Rickshaw
You can also opt for a taxi or a rickshaw from any part of Kathmandu. Tell the driver to take you to Pashupatinath Temple. Once you arrive at the temple, Aaryaghat is just a short walk away along the path that leads to the cremation ghats. If you need help finding it, don't hesitate to ask locals who are usually familiar with the area.
Use Aaryaghat as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
