Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Kathmandu, head east on the Araniko Highway (A-1). Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. From there, take the exit towards Karyabinayak, which is well-signposted. Follow the road for approximately 5 kilometers, and look for signs to Sikali Temple. The temple is located at the coordinates 27.6435° N, 85.2855° E. There is limited parking available near the temple, so be prepared to walk a short distance.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Sikali Temple via public transportation from Kathmandu, first take a local bus from the New Bus Park in Kathmandu to Bhaktapur. The bus ride will take about 1 hour and cost approximately NPR 50-100. Once in Bhaktapur, transfer to a local microbus or taxi to Karyabinayak, which will cost around NPR 30-70 for a microbus or NPR 300 for a taxi. The journey from Bhaktapur to Karyabinayak takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Karyabinayak, follow the signs to Sikali Temple, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the microbus/taxi drop-off point.
