Walking
From your current location in Nagarkot, start by heading towards the main road leading down to Bhaktapur. Follow the signs that direct you to the main exit of Nagarkot. Once you reach the main road, turn left and continue walking straight. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork; keep to the right towards the Bhaktapur direction. Continue for about another 2 kilometers until you reach the bus station at Bhaktapur. From here, you can take a local bus to Kathmandu.

Trekking
If you prefer a more scenic route, you can trek from Nagarkot to Kathmandu. Begin your trek by taking the trail from Nagarkot that leads towards the east. This path will take you through lush forests and scenic viewpoints. After about 2 hours of trekking, you will reach the village of Changunarayan. Here, you can visit the famous Changunarayan Temple. From Changunarayan, you can either walk or take a local bus to Bhaktapur, and then catch a bus to Kathmandu.

Cycling
For those who are more adventurous, renting a bicycle is a great way to travel from Nagarkot to Kathmandu. Start by heading down the main road from Nagarkot towards Bhaktapur. The ride is approximately 15 kilometers and will take you through beautiful rural landscapes. Be cautious of the traffic as you approach Bhaktapur. Once you reach the bus station in Bhaktapur, you can secure your bicycle and take a local bus to Kathmandu.
