Getting There

Walking
From the center of Nagarkot, head down the main road towards the east. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction at Bhaktapur-Nagarkot Road. Turn left onto this road and walk for about 3 kilometers. You will come to a bus stop; from there, you can catch a local bus to Kathmandu. Make sure to let the bus driver know you want to get off at Swayambhu. Once you reach Swayambhu, the park will be within walking distance from the bus stop.

Hiking
Starting from the Nagarkot View Tower, take the trail that leads down the hillside towards the village of Changu Narayan. Follow the signs that lead you to Swayambhu. The hike will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Upon arrival at Swayambhu, you will find the Buddha Park nearby, which is easily accessible.

Public Transport
From Nagarkot, walk to the nearest bus stop and take a local bus heading towards Kathmandu. Inform the bus conductor to drop you off at Swayambhu. The journey should take around 1 hour. After disembarking, the Swayambhu Buddha Park is a short walk from the bus stop.
