One amazing trip

I found Sherpa Expedition & Trekking while looking for a tour company willing to take my dad and I to EBC during monsoon season. The reviews sold us on the company and the tour surpassed our expectations. Ram was so helpful in organising and reassuring us in regards to our travel plans, knowing how risky it is flights will take off during monsoon season. We had the wonderful Furinji guiding us and Tilak as our porter. My dad and I have never trekked before, so the whole thing was new and exciting but we had no idea what we were in for. Furinji was so friendly, and knowledgeable, he was great at reminding us to rest when we needed it. And was happy to go at our own pace! Tilak was so helpful too, helping to dry our gloves by the fire when they got soaked by the days rain higher up 🤣 never mind the fact he carried two heavy bags up then down again!!! We had a wonderful experience with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking. We did borrow the sleeping bags (used higher up they were clean and warm), poles (sturdy! Functioned well) and jackets (didn't need to wear them once) for our trip. The tea houses we stayed in were clean and warm with lovely food, and some much needed hot showers at Periche. On return to Kathmandu, on suggestion from Fuirnji, we asked Ram if he had anyone he could recommend to take us out shopping and for coffee. He had another one of his amazing guides meet us at the hotel and took us out for the day, my only regret is not remembering his name. He was wonderful, finding us the best haunts for some shopping for our family members. An absolute trip of a lifetime and we are so thankful to Ram, Fuirnji and Tilak for making it happen.

THREE PASSES TREK: Renjo-la Pass, Chola Pass & Kongma La Pass. Everest Base Camp. Other Summits (Gokio Ri, Kalapatar) This was a 3 week trip to Nepal with my sister to do the Three Passes Trek in Himalaya. Actually we planned to do it on our own, without any agency guide or porter. Once we got to Nepal, you shared our plans with some other tourist we met in Katmandú and everyone told us that specially in off season we should get a guide. So, we found Mani from The Great Adventure Treks & Expedition (traveler’s Choice Award 2024). We actually found him in our hotel, without knowing anything about agencys. We told him about our worries and concerns and specially the fact that we didn’t count on getting a guide so our budget was limited. End of the conversation, we hired the service, got a Guide from Lukla, called Pasang, carried our on bags and for resonable price we had everything we need it, organized and adapted to our necessities and budget. The trekking was beyond subreal, amazing views, hard and challenging trekking, amazing guide. Pasang (guide) helped us with anything we needed. He is local from Lukla and basically born in the mountains, so he knows everybody in every Lothse and will always find the way to make us safe and happy. The trip went far beyond from my expectation. For sure will come back and will contact Mani and Pasang for our next trip. You will have a great experience and great deals, nobody will take advantage of you and you will be safe by all times. Also, Mani arranged you the transportations form hotel to airports at a reasonable price. And this is really helpful, there will be lots of people offering you, for way more money, and because you maybe are tired and without paciente you will take anything they offer you, so is great he arranged that. Everest Base Camp Trek

They got me to Everest Base Camp despite being 56 years old during the monsoon season.

My work schedule permitted me go on the Mt Everest Base Camp Trek only in August during monsoon season. Unique Adventure International accommodated my schedule and even though I was the only traveler who booked for the August 3 slot, they provided me a guide and a porter. Khum (the owner of the company) met me at my hotel before the trek, and greeted me at the airport when I returned. My every need was looked for by my guide Ramesh and my porter Bishnu. The professionalism they displayed is a benchmark for every profession to aspire to. Although I am 56 and was 265 lbs (120 kilos), they got me to Everest Base Camp.
