Getting There

Walking
From the heart of Patan, head south towards the Patan Durbar Square. Walk through the square and exit at the southern gate. Continue straight on Pulchowk Road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Pulchowk area. Once you reach Pulchowk, look for a sign directing you towards Godavari. Follow the signs and begin walking towards Godavari. As you walk, you will pass by various local shops and eateries, which can be great for a quick stop. After around 1 kilometer, you will start to see the entrance to Godavari. Continue straight until you reach the Godavari Kunda, which is a serene pond surrounded by beautiful greenery.

Alternatively, if you are near the Mahabouddha Temple, start by heading south on the road that leads out of the temple area. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the main road. Turn left onto the main road and continue walking straight for about 1.2 kilometers. You will pass by several small shops and local houses. Eventually, you will see a sign for Godavari on your right. Turn right and follow the road until you reach the Godavari Kunda.
