    If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Biratnagar or another major city in Province No. 1. Drive towards Jiri via the BP Highway, which is approximately a 7-8 hour drive. From Jiri, follow the road signs to the small village of Salleri, which will take about 1-2 hours. Upon reaching Salleri, you will need to park your car and proceed on foot since vehicles cannot enter Sagarmatha National Park. The trek to the park entrance at Monjo will take around 2-3 hours on foot.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Sagarmatha National Park using public transportation, start from Biratnagar or any other major town in Province No. 1. Take a bus to Jiri, which is a common route and takes about 6-8 hours depending on the bus service. From Jiri, you can catch a local jeep or bus to Salleri, which takes about 1-2 hours. Once in Salleri, you will need to trek to Monjo, the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park, which takes around 2-3 hours on foot.
