If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest town, Khumjung. Drive towards the Everest Base Camp Trekking Route. Follow the signs toward Tyangboche, which is about 10 kilometers from Khumjung. The road is well-marked, but be cautious of the narrow paths and occasional landslides. Upon reaching Tyangboche, park your vehicle. The Tengboche Monastery is a short hike from the parking area, approximately 30 minutes uphill. The views along the way are breathtaking, so take your time.

For those using public transportation, take a local bus or jeep from Khumjung to Tyangboche. The ride is about 30-45 minutes depending on the road conditions. There are multiple departures throughout the day, but it’s best to check the schedule ahead of time.
