From Amsterdam Central Station, take a train towards Alkmaar. Make sure the train is heading to either 'Alkmaar' or 'Hoorn'. After approximately 25-30 minutes, disembark at the 'Krommenie-Zuid' station. Exit the station and walk towards the Noordhollands Kanaal, which is about a 10-minute walk (800 meters). You will see the canal ahead as you walk along the neighborhood roads.

From Amsterdam Central Station, take bus line 391 towards 'Zaanstad'. This bus will take you directly to the area near the Noordhollands Kanaal. After about 30-35 minutes, get off at the 'Zaanweg' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the canal. Follow the pedestrian path leading towards the water.

If you're up for a bike ride, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops around Amsterdam. Head towards the north of the city, following the path along the IJ River. Continue cycling towards the 'Noordhollands Kanaal' which is approximately 7 km from the city center.
