Walking
From Museumplein, head northeast towards the Pieter Cornelisz Hooftstraat. Once you reach the street, turn left and continue walking until you reach the intersection with the Stadhouderskade. Cross the street and continue straight onto the Leidsestraat. Follow Leidsestraat until you reach the Muntplein, where you'll see the Munttoren (Mint Tower). Now, continue straight onto the Rokin, which will lead you directly to Dam Square. It should take approximately 20-25 minutes of walking.

From Museumplein, walk to the nearest tram stop, which is 'Museumplein' (located near the Rijksmuseum). Take tram line 2 (towards Nieuwmarkt) or tram line 12 (towards Centraal Station). After about 5 stops, get off at the 'Dam' stop. You will be very close to Dam Square, just a short walk away. The tram ticket costs around €3.20 and can be purchased at the tram stop.
