    Start at the Haarlem Central Station. Exit the station and head east on Stationsplein. Continue straight onto the Gedempte Oude Gracht. Walk along the canal until you reach the junction with the Spaarne River. Cross the bridge and turn left to follow the Spaarne River. Continue walking along the riverbank until you reach the Spaarneweg. Turn right onto Spaarneweg and continue walking for about 3 km. You will arrive at Spaarneweg 29, Cruquius, where the Fort near Heemstede is located.
