From Haarlem, walk to Haarlem Station (Haarlem Railway Station) which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the city center. Once at the station, take a train towards Uitgeest or Krommenie-Assendelft. The train ride will take about 5-10 minutes. Get off at Heemstede-Aerdenhout Station. From the station, exit towards the south and walk down the main road, Spaarneweg, for about 10 minutes until you reach Ringvaartlaan. Turn left onto Ringvaartlaan, and after a short walk, you will find Heemstede Castle on your right.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle in Haarlem. Start your journey by heading south from the city center towards the Spaarne River. Follow the river until you reach the main road, and then take the bike path leading to Heemstede. The ride is approximately 25 minutes and will take you through scenic areas. Once you reach Ringvaartlaan, follow it until you arrive at Heemstede Castle.

Head south towards the Spaarne River and then follow the riverbank until you reach the intersection with Spaarneweg. Turn left onto Spaarneweg and continue walking for about 30 minutes.
