Getting There

Walking
From the Leiden Central Station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located just outside the main entrance. Take bus line 43 towards Amsterdam and get off at 'Amsterdam, Sloterdijk' station. From there, transfer to train line Intercity to Amsterdam Central Station. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head towards the waterfront. Walk along the water towards the east, and you will see the I amsterdam Visitor Centre located at De Ruijterkade 28, directly across from the central station.

From Leiden Central Station, board an Intercity train heading to Amsterdam Central Station. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes. Upon arriving at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and walk towards the waterfront. Continue walking along the water to the east for about 10 minutes, and you will find the I amsterdam Visitor Centre at De Ruijterkade 28.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle from Leiden to Amsterdam. Start by heading north from the city center towards the N206 road. Follow the signs towards Amsterdam, which will lead you along the scenic route through the countryside. Once you arrive in Amsterdam, use a map application to guide you to De Ruijterkade 28, where the I amsterdam Visitor Centre is located. The total distance is approximately 40 kilometers and will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your cycling speed.
