From Zaanse Schans, get on the N203 road heading towards Amsterdam. Continue on N203 for about 15 kilometers, following signs to Amsterdam. Once you approach the city, take the A10 ring road and follow signs for A1/E231 towards Amersfoort. Take exit S112 towards Centrum. Merge onto Keizersgracht, and you will reach Museum Van Loon at Keizersgracht 672, Amsterdam. Parking in the area may incur costs, so plan on finding nearby parking facilities.

From Zaanse Schans, walk to the nearest bus stop (Zaanse Schans) and take bus 391 towards Amsterdam. This bus runs frequently and takes approximately 30 minutes to reach Amsterdam Sloterdijk station. From Sloterdijk, transfer to train line Sprinter (towards Amsterdam Centraal) and travel for about 7 minutes. Alight at Amsterdam Centraal station. From there, you can take tram 1, 2, or 5 towards the Museum district. Get off at the stop 'Keizersgracht' and walk to Museum Van Loon located at Keizersgracht 672. The total cost for bus and train tickets will vary but expect around €10 for a return trip.
