Getting There

  • Car

    From Zaanse Schans, take the N516 road heading southeast towards Amsterdam. Merge onto the A8 motorway towards Amsterdam. Continue on A8 for about 14 kilometers, then take the exit toward the A10 ring road. Follow signs for A10 South and then take exit 2 for S112 toward Amsterdam-Centrum. Continue on S112 and follow the signs for the city center. Once you reach the city center, look for parking options. The closest parking garage is 'Q-Park Amsterdam Centrum', located at 'Oudezijds Voorburgwal 8'. From the parking garage, it's a 15-minute walk to the Museum of Bags and Purses, which is located at Herengracht 573.

    From Zaanse Schans, walk to the nearest bus stop and take bus 391 towards Amsterdam. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Amsterdam, Station Sloterdijk' stop. From there, transfer to train line Intercity (IC) heading to Amsterdam Centraal. After about 7 minutes, get off at Amsterdam Centraal.
