Car
If you are driving from South Lake Tahoe, take US-50 East towards Stateline. After approximately 3 miles, turn left onto CA-89 North. Continue on CA-89 for about 8 miles. You will see signs for Emerald Bay State Park. Turn left onto Emerald Bay Road, and follow it for another 1.5 miles. There is a parking area at Emerald Bay State Park where you can leave your car. Note that there is a fee for parking, which is typically around $10 for day use.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Tahoe Transportation District (TTD) bus service. From South Lake Tahoe, catch the Blue Line bus towards Stateline. Make sure to get off at the stop for Emerald Bay, which is approximately a 45-minute ride. From the bus stop, it's a short walk (about 0.5 miles) to reach Inspiration Point. Please check the TTD website for the latest schedules and fares, as they can vary by season.

Hiking
For adventurous visitors, you can hike to Inspiration Point from the Eagle Lake Trailhead. If you are in the Emerald Bay area, park at the Eagle Lake parking lot (note that there may be a parking fee). From the trailhead, follow the Eagle Lake Trail for about 1 mile. The trail is moderately steep but offers beautiful views of the lake. As you approach Inspiration Point, you will see breathtaking vistas of Emerald Bay. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and bring water.
