Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start on the Appalachian Trail and head towards the nearest major road, Route 78. From there, take Exit 35 for PA-143 N. Continue on PA-143 N for approximately 10 miles. Turn left onto Hawk Mountain Road (signs for Hawk Mountain Sanctuary will be visible). After about 3 miles on Hawk Mountain Road, you will arrive at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, located at 1700 Hawk Mountain Rd, Kempton, PA 19529. Parking is available on-site, but there may be a small fee, so be prepared for that.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take a bus or train to Allentown, PA. From Allentown, you can catch a local bus (the LANTA Route 325) to the town of Germansville. Once you arrive in Germansville, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service (such as Uber or Lyft) to take you the remaining 10 miles to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary.
