Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from the Asbury Park Boardwalk, head south along the boardwalk until you reach the end. Once you reach the end, continue straight onto Ocean Avenue. Keep walking south along Ocean Avenue for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Surf Avenue in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Turn left onto Surf Avenue, and the New York Aquarium will be on your right at 602 Surf Ave.

Public Transit (Train and Subway)
From Asbury Park Station, take a NJ Transit train towards New York Penn Station. At New York Penn Station, transfer to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and take a train towards Atlantic Terminal. Once you arrive at Atlantic Terminal, transfer to the MTA subway. Take the D train towards Coney Island-Stillwell Ave. Get off at Coney Island-Stillwell Ave station. Exit the station and walk down Surf Avenue towards 602 Surf Ave; the New York Aquarium will be on your left.

Public Transit (Bus)
From Asbury Park, take the NJ Transit bus route 837 towards Neptune. Transfer to the 114 bus at Neptune, which will take you to Coney Island. Once you arrive at the Coney Island stop, walk east on Surf Avenue for a short distance until you reach 602 Surf Ave, where the New York Aquarium is located.
