    If you are in Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, start by getting onto NJ-202 S from the refuge. Head southeast on Long Hill Rd towards NJ-202 S. Merge onto NJ-202 S and continue for about 10 miles until you reach I-287 S. Merge onto I-287 S and continue for about 12 miles. Take exit 14A to merge onto I-78 E towards New York City. Stay on I-78 E for approximately 20 miles. Merge onto I-95 N and follow the signs for the George Washington Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, take the exit toward I-295 S and follow the signs for the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. After crossing the bridge, take the exit for Shore Pkwy. Continue on Shore Pkwy, then turn left onto Cropsey Ave and follow it until you reach Surf Ave. Turn right onto Surf Ave and you will find the New York Aquarium at 602 Surf Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11224.

Get off at the 59th St – Columbus Circle station and transfer to the D train towards Coney Island-Stillwell Ave. Ride the D train until you reach the Coney Island-Stillwell Ave station. Once you exit the station, walk east towards the boardwalk, then head north on Surf Ave until you arrive at 602 Surf Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11224, where the New York Aquarium is located.
