Car
From any part of the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, head towards Pleasant Plains Road. If you’re starting from the Wildlife Refuge's main entrance, follow the signs directing you to the nearest exit. Once on the road, drive northbound for approximately 3 miles until you reach the intersection with New Vernon Road. Turn left onto New Vernon Road and continue for about 0.5 miles. Then, turn right onto Pleasant Plains Road. Continue for another 1 mile, and you will find Friends of Great Swamp National at 32 Pleasant Plains Rd, New Vernon, NJ 07976 on your left.

Public Transportation
If you are traveling by public transport, you will first need to reach the nearest train station. The Morristown train station is the closest, located approximately 10 miles from the refuge. From the Morristown station, take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Friends of Great Swamp National at 32 Pleasant Plains Rd, New Vernon, NJ 07976. The taxi ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Please note that taxi fares may vary, but you should expect to pay around $20-$30 for this trip.

For those who prefer biking, exit the refuge and head north on Pleasant Plains Road. The ride is approximately 5 miles from the refuge entrance to Friends of Great Swamp National. The route is relatively flat, making it a suitable ride for most cyclists. Just be cautious of traffic as you approach New Vernon.
