Getting There

• Car

  From any location in Jersey Shore, take the Garden State Parkway North. Continue on the parkway until you reach Exit 105 for Route 36 East toward Long Branch. Merge onto Route 36 and continue until you reach the intersection with Route 440. Take Route 440 North toward Jersey City. Follow Route 440, which will turn into the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95 N). Keep an eye out for signs for Exit 14C toward Liberty State Park. Once off the exit, follow the signs to Liberty State Park located at 1 Audrey Zapp Dr, Jersey City, NJ 07305. Parking is available, but there may be a fee, typically around $7 for standard vehicles.

• Public Transportation (Train)

  If you prefer using public transportation, start by taking the NJ Transit train from any station in Jersey Shore to the Jersey City station. Ensure you check the NJ Transit schedule for train times. Upon arriving at the Jersey City station, transfer to the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. Board the light rail and travel to the Liberty State Park station. The ride should take about 10 minutes. Once you disembark at Liberty State Park, follow the signs to the park entrance at 1 Audrey Zapp Dr. Be aware that train and light rail tickets will incur costs, typically around $10-$15 total for a round trip.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  You can also take a bus from various points in Jersey Shore to Jersey City. Check the NJ Transit website for the specific bus routes available from your location to Jersey City. Once you arrive in Jersey City, you can catch the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail from the nearest station to your bus drop-off point. Take the light rail to Liberty State Park station. Tickets for the bus will vary, typically costing between $5 and $10 one way depending on the route.
