Getting There

    From the Paterson Bus Terminal, take NJ Transit Bus #164 towards New York Port Authority. Ride for approximately 45 minutes and get off at the 5th Ave and 82nd St stop. Walk east on 82nd St until you reach 5th Ave. Turn left onto 5th Ave and walk south. The Metropolitan Museum of Art will be on your left at 1000 5th Ave.

    Walk from your location to the Paterson Train Station. Board a NJ Transit train heading towards Hoboken. Transfer at Secaucus Junction to a train heading towards New York Penn Station. Upon arrival at Penn Station, exit and take the subway (1 train) from 34th St - Penn Station to 59th St - Columbus Circle. From there, walk east along Central Park South, turn left onto 5th Ave, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art will be on your right at 1000 5th Ave.

  • Walking

    If you are near downtown Paterson, start by heading towards Market St and walk towards the Passaic River. Cross the bridge and continue to follow the river until you reach the NJ Transit station at Great Falls. From here, take a local bus or train towards New York City. Once in NYC, follow the bus or train directions to get to the museum.
