Getting There

• Public Transportation

  From Red Bank, walk to the Red Bank train station located at 176 Monmouth Street. Board a NJ Transit train heading towards Long Branch. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the Matawan/Aberdeen station. From here, transfer to the NJ Transit bus #837 towards Freehold. After about 25 minutes on the bus, get off at the stop closest to NJ-33 Business, which is near the park entrance. Follow the signs to Monmouth Battlefield State Park, located at 20 NJ-33 Business, Manalapan Township, NJ 07726.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Red Bank. Start your journey by heading south on Monmouth Street towards West Front Street. Take a right onto West Front Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Route 35. Follow Route 35 until you can access the bike path leading towards Manalapan. Stay on the bike path until you reach NJ-33 Business. Monmouth Battlefield State Park will be on your left at 20 NJ-33 Business, Manalapan Township, NJ 07726.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, you can walk from Red Bank to Monmouth Battlefield State Park. Start at the Red Bank train station and head south on Monmouth Street. Walk towards West Front Street and turn right. Continue onto Route 35, which will lead you to NJ-33 Business. This is a long walk of about 7 miles, so be prepared with water and comfortable walking shoes. Monmouth Battlefield State Park will be located on your left at 20 NJ-33 Business, Manalapan Township, NJ 07726.
