Getting There

  • Car

    From Bandelier National Monument, take NM-4 East towards Los Alamos. Continue on NM-4 for approximately 10 miles until you reach the junction with NM-502. Take the exit onto NM-502 East towards Los Alamos. After about 5 miles, merge onto US-285 South. Continue on US-285 for approximately 12 miles. Look for the signs for Cerrillos Hills State Park as you approach Los Cerrillos. Turn left onto County Road 59, which leads directly to the park entrance. The total driving time is about 30-40 minutes.

    From Bandelier National Monument, you will need to take a bus to Los Alamos first. Check the local bus schedules for the Los Alamos County Transit. Once in Los Alamos, transfer to a bus that goes to Santa Fe. Get off at the nearest stop to Cerrillos. You may need to walk or take a taxi from the bus stop to Cerrillos Hills State Park, which is about 5 miles away.
