From the center of Carlsbad, walk to the nearest bus stop on 5th Street. Board the E-Line bus heading west towards the Carlsbad Airport. Travel for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the bus stop at the intersection of 5th Street and San Diego Avenue. From there, transfer to the 4-Line bus going south towards the Old Town area. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Old Town bus stop. Walk for about 5 minutes to reach the Sheriff's Museum and Educational Center located at 2384 San Diego Ave.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Carlsbad. Start from the Carlsbad City Park and head south on 8th Street. Continue for about 1 mile until you reach San Diego Avenue.
