Car
If you are driving from any location in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, head southeast towards I-25. Take the exit for Raton, NM. Continue on I-25 until you reach Exit 451 for Raton. Merge onto US-87 S and follow the signs for Raton. Once you enter Raton, turn left onto S 2nd St. The Raton Downtown Historic District, located at 399-333 S 2nd St, will be on your right. Be aware that parking may be limited in the downtown area, so look for available street parking.

Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, look for a bus service that connects the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to Raton. Once you arrive at the Raton bus station, you can either walk to the Historic District (approximately a 15-minute walk) or take a local taxi service. To walk, head south on S 1st St, then turn right onto E 3rd St, and finally turn left onto S 2nd St. The Historic District will be ahead on your left. If you choose the taxi option, the fare should be minimal, usually around $5-$10 depending on traffic.
