Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading south on NM-285 S from Santa Fe. After about 10 miles, take the exit toward NM-475 N. Continue on NM-475 N for approximately 13 miles until you reach the Santa Fe Ski Area. Look for the signs for 'Vista Grande Overlook' or 'Observation Site.' The last part of the drive will take you through beautiful mountain scenery, so keep your eyes peeled for the signs indicating you are near the overlook. There is parking available once you reach the Vista Grande Overlook.

If you prefer public transportation, take the NM Rail Runner Express to the Santa Fe Depot. From there, you can catch a local bus (NM-475) that heads towards the Santa Fe Ski Area. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Vista Grande Overlook. Note that the bus service may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. From the bus stop, it is a short hike (approximately 1 mile) to the Vista Grande Overlook. Follow the marked trail signs that lead to the observation site, and be prepared for a moderate uphill walk.
